"How depressing would it be if laughter didn't exist? Think about it. Take every chance you have to laugh and make memories you can go back to and laugh. Just laugh." (Natalie)
For my "Humans of Splendora" piece, I choose my good friend Brooklin Moore. She is one of my dearest friends. I've known her for 4 years. I believe her only occupation is school; school basically dominates her life. One of the classes she enjoys is humanities. She is a self-proclaimed art nerd. Her favorite teacher are Mrs. Young, Mrs. Luthe, and Mr. Duncan.
Her hobbies include drawing and doing homework. Her favorite shows are Grey's Anatomy, Pretty Little Liars, and Steven Universe. I believe Brooklin should be honored on the Humans of Splendora site, because she is one of the nicest people I know. She is always there for anyone in need and will always have a friend's back. She can always make me smile and laugh even during my worst times. (Zero) Stormie spent her entire life in Splendora and graduated from Splendora Early College High School last year (2016) among the top ten percent of students. She is now attending the University of North Texas to become a medical examiner. Her favorite thing in the world is her dog, but she likes all kinds of baby animals as well. (Anonymous)
Josh Bowden has lived in Splendora for seven years with his parents. He is a very bright intellectual student in Splendora Early College High School. He is attending early college and has a 4.54 GPA. He has a lot of pets and lives in a huge house with his parents. His main goal in high school is to get the highest GPA in the school records. After high school, he will go to college where he will become a graphic designer.
Most of his classes are pre-AP. Most of the teachers would say that he is an excellent student. He always gets his work done and always pays attention in class. He is a mature and smart cookie that loves to play chess in his free time and always thinks about his future. (Timothy) When I first came to Texas, life was pretty hard. I never kept my friends because they didn't like how weird I was, and when I was in eighth grade, I met this amazing girl named Gloria. She has shown me that life is amazing and that we should never give up. People always bring me down, and she has been there to pick me up. She accepts me for who I am and manages to deal with my mood swings. She is the girl who has changed my life. I wouldn't change her for anyone. (Carmen)
